$15.31 per hour or higher commensurate with experience
This position is responsible for functioning with minimal supervision and a high volume, team atmosphere to complete support tasks for the assistant vice provost for strategic enrollment management offices.
These tasks include working with the Strategic Enrollment Management Administrative team to manage the operational and financial needs of the department including ordering, expediting and tracking equipment and material purchases. Ensuring accuracy, allowability of transactions and proper disbursement of funds. Maintaining inventory of assets and developing projected spending plans.
Collecting and interpreting a variety of data for the purpose of preparing and editing extensive reports. Researching, interpreting, explaining and determining proper compliance with rules, policies and procedures.
Coordinating and processing travel claims, reimbursements, invoices, purchasing card statements, and deposits.
Maintaining departmental personnel records. Assisting with the electronic personnel action form (EPAF) process for all department staff and student employees. Acting as the designated PeopleAdmin user and search coordinator for the department. This position will also approve timesheets for student/temporary employees.
Two (2) years experience in administrative support, office management, or bookkeeping
Experience interpreting, applying and explaining complex information such as regulations, policies or services; independently solving problems/performing liaison activities in a work setting; coordinating activities requiring complex arrangements.
Good knowledge of office support functions including word processing; filing; composing a variety of business documents; reception; and researching, compiling, and summarizing data for reports.
Good knowledge of financial record keeping methods.
Experience researching and compiling financial information and preparing summaries and reports; using personal computers to enter, retrieve, and edit financial data.
Demonstrated knowledge of University of Idaho culture, history, traditions, buildings, and computing environment.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups of people, maintain a friendly, professional demeanor, think clearly and effectively in a fast paced environment that requires multi-tasking
Experience working in an college admissions/recruitment visitation atmosphere
Ability to provide accurate and timely information and handle complex problems courteously and efficiently
Ability to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures
Experience recruiting and working with students and /or volunteers;
Experience in the use of database systems or a Student/Finance Information System such as Banner
Experience in handling confidential materials
Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
Experience coordinating schedules and/or events
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Ability to work weekends when necessary
