Alumni Engagement Event Manager (Program Manager I)

The Program and Event Manager will be responsible for comprehensive delivery of programs and events with emphasis on planning, logistics, and implementation. This position will manage the event functions and programming efforts within University Development and Alumni Relations and will be responsible for the planning and execution of events involving our alumni, university leaders, donors, students, community members, faculty, and staff.
1. Event and Program Management:
Responsible for an assigned portfolio of programs and related events, including logistics
Contribute to new program & event development and implementation
Develop, manage, and staff a comprehensive schedule of programs and events that are creative, engaging, and well attended
In collaboration with Corporate and Foundation Relations team, coordinate event sponsorships for events and ensure fulfillment of sponsor benefits
Partner with communications, development, and support personnel to ensure every aspect of the program portfolio delivers a world class experience, and drives intended results
Partner with Advancement Communications team to plan and coordinate the implementation of communication strategies for promoting each event, including printed materials, e-blasts, social media, web-page postings, volunteer outreach, and other channels
Manage post-event activities, including debriefs, volunteer recognition, coding and processing invoices and reimbursements, and documentation
Participate in relevant institutional committees
Perform in alignment with institutional values and strategic plan
2. Organizational Development:
Create and document processes and procedures
Meet annual and long-term programmatic goals
Provide regular, data-driven program and event evaluation
Budget planning and monitoring; adhere to program budgets
Record and file maintenance
Other duties as assigned
Three years of experience in professional meeting and event planning
Experience planning and delivering successful, high-quality and complex events
Experience in detailed event production including pre, on-site and post event logistics and follow up
