Coast Community College District is seeking an Applications Facilitator professional to join a team that administers the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) production reporting environment. An intermediate level of programming skill and ERP production report development is required. Desirable qualifications include experience with Ellucian’s Banner ERP, Oracle/MS-SQL databases and operational data stores, and Evisions Argos report writer.

DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the assigned supervisor, provide programming support, custom reporting, technical assistance, and training to users concerning software applications (e.g., Office, web, mobile, and Enterprise Resource Planning), peripherals and related operations, practices and procedures; confer with end users on data needs; serve as technical liaison between technology personnel, end users, and vendors to facilitate development, documentation, testing, implementation, and integration of software applications; analyze solutions and write detailed technical reports and specifications to facilitate recommendations for enhancements, modification, and data requirements; create user manuals; provide technical training; monitor, evaluate, and test new, upgraded, and modified applications; and assist other technical staff in the ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and patches of district-wide systems and applications.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide programming support, technical assistance, and training to users concerning software applications, peripherals and related operations, practices and procedures.
Serve as technical liaison between technology personnel, end users, and vendors to facilitate development, documentation, testing, implementation, and integration of software applications.
Provide training to staff regarding software applications; develop, implement and conduct online, and in-person training sessions; prepare training manuals and deliver oral presentations concerning the operation of computer systems and applications; demonstrate proper use of software applications.
Analyze user needs, identify solutions, and write detailed technical reports and specifications to facilitate enhancements, modifications, and data requirements.
Serve as a technical resource to staff concerning the operation of computer systems, software and related applications; respond to inquiries and provide detailed and technical information concerning related practices, procedures, techniques and malfunctions.
Utilize a report writing tool (e.g. Argos) to develop reports and analytical output based on queries of databases from various sources (i.e., Operational Data Stores, Data Warehouses, SQL and Oracle databases), including data cubes.
Develop and maintain user documentation standards for software applications; prepare, update and maintain system, user, new technology, software development and implementation manuals, guides, documentation and procedures; maintain library of documentation.
Coordinate complex problem-solving activities through research, analysis and consultation with users, technical staff, managers and vendors; work with area managers in administering and maintaining access control for faculty and staff.
Research, evaluate and provide detailed written recommendations concerning new software applications; test software applications to facilitate integration and implementation; analyze user interaction effectiveness; provide feedback to vendors and technology staff regarding user interface issues; recommend policy modifications and application standards.
Communicate and exchange information with staff and outside agencies to resolve issues or concerns.
Facilitate assigned functions and projects with District and campus technology and programming staff.
Assist in determining training needs for technology users by conferring with staff and administrators regarding computer system usage, enhancements, hardware, software, modifications, requirements, maintenance and staff training issues.
Install, upgrade, and configure software applications to ensure computer systems are running properly in accordance with compatibility standards and user needs.
Perform routine maintenance, set up and configuration of assigned application software.
Maintain current knowledge of applicable technological advances in computer systems, databases and applications.
Operate a variety of computers, servers, peripherals and specialized software.
Prepare and maintain various records and reports related to assigned activities.
Attend and participate in various meetings as assigned.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
