Residence Life Coordinator – (180016)

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a Residence Life Coordinator at the Daytona Beach Residential Campus starting July 2018.

The Residence Life Coordinator position shares in the responsibility for overall direction of a comprehensive, auxiliary housing program serving approximately 2,000 students. Primary focus of this position is to coordinate the student staff in one or two residence halls, provide counseling and conflict management support to residential students, and encourage residential education and academic support through the Department’s "Living-Learning" philosophy. Additionally, this position serves as the coordinator for the department "Living Learning Program" including management, supervision, and overall direction of the Learning Communities and Faculty in Residence.

The Residence Life Coordinator duties will also include:-
Student Staff Supervision (Senior Resident Advisors, Resident Advisors, occasionally Front Desk Student Assistants)
Auxiliary (collateral) assignment
Collaboration in departmental processes such as Staff Selection, Staff Training, Room Selection, etc
Student Conduct, Crisis Management, and participation in Emergency Response On Call Duty Rotation
Student Outreach/Follow-up in coordination with multiple on campus departments
The Residence Life Coordinator will report to the Associate Director of Housing and Residence Life.

Anticipated timeline for Residence Life Coordinator Vacancy:-
Phone Interviews:- Mid to Late February
On Campus Interviews:- Mid to Late March
Final candidate selection:- Late March
Anticipated Official Start Date:- July 2nd, 2018


Master’s degree in Student Affairs or Higher Education Administration or related field with 1-3 years of work related experience.

Two years of GA in housing/residence life and/or student affairs experience equates to one year of full-time work experience

Require knowledge, skills and abilities:-
Previous housing/residence life experience at a minimum of Graduate Assistantship level
