Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking to hire a Sport Complex Facilities Intern at the Daytona Beach campus. The candidate will have a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in the daily upkeep of NCAA Division II outdoor athletic venues, including Baseball, Softball, Men’s & Women’s Soccer, Men’s & Women’s Tennis, Men’s & Women’s Track & Field, Men’s & Women’s Lacrosse, and Men’s and Women’s Cross-Country facilities. Candidate will provide daily support in cleaning, maintaining, and repairing athletic facilities. Must be able to work for extended periods of time on your feet. Proficient experience with hand tools is preferred but not required. However, if not familiar with hand tools, must be willing to learn.

In addition to facilities support, candidate will also support the execution of event operations for all preseason, regular season, and post season games, as well as for contracted events with outside originations.

Seventy (70) percent of job involves facility upkeep with tasks such as, but not limited to, pressure washing, painting, repairing windscreen, conducting field and facility reports, trash pickup, cleaning, etc. Thirty (30) percent of job involves event management.

Above all else, candidate must be willing to have a "can do" attitude.

Schedule

Schedule will vary and candidate is expected to work many nights and weekends.
10-month position starting in mid-August and ending mid-May.

Compensation

This position is compensated with a bi-weekly stipend and a campus meal plan. Stipend is $14,500 to offset living expenses, $1,450 per month for 10 months. No housing, transportation, or health insurance provided.
