Residential Custodial Services at the University at Buffalo is accepting applications for the
Janitor role. In this position, you will work with a team of dynamic and diverse individuals who are dedicated to the provision of safe, attractive, and well-functioning residential and related support spaces across UB’s North and South campuses.
Your responsibilities include:
- Supervise the work of other staff; provide day-to-day assignments
- Clean and service buildings by sweeping and mopping offices, halls, stairways, and other units
- Wax and buff floors
- Gather and dispose of refuse
- Service lavatories and fixtures
- Clean lighting fixtures, replace light bulbs, and wash windows
- Move furniture and equipment as applicable
- Assist with sweeping walks, shoveling snow
- Respond to requests and the emergency need for janitorial services
