The Sr. Business Analyst contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of ITS operations, providing support to the University of St. Thomas community. This operational role executes activities to maintain day-to-day system administration and process stability, and to improve the services and capability, ensuring business continuity among various departments. Responsibilities include service request resolution, incident identification and resolution, maintaining and supporting applications and servers, end-user training, key metrics identification and reporting, as well as, maintaining system and process documentation.


1. Perform enterprise level desktop, server/system management, and third tier technical support duties including:

Supporting the fleet of desktop Windows computers utilizing SCCM.
Supporting various servers and operational systems.
Work collaboratively with other ITS teams in diagnosing and resolving technical issues
Tier 3 Server and Desktop computing troubleshooting
Support of Office 365 back end administrator

2. Participate in and/or lead projects related to upgrades and implementation of new technological services.

3. Maintain and upgrade enterprise level systems (e.g. document management, printing, desktop computing, virtualized software, desktop backup systems.)

4. Remain current with and use ITS services and procedures for designated systems of record for ticket reporting, data and documentation tools, installation & inventory, ITS Communication guidelines, customer communication, technology trends and other duties as assigned.

Remain current with technology trends (work with vendors, read trade journals, attend training, research, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline
Five years of experience with desktop administration, including software package creation and deployment, scripting, Office 365 administration, programming experience, database administration.
