The University at Buffalo invites applications for the Service & Repair Mechanic (HVAC-R) position within Residential Facilities. In this role, you will perform journey-level work in the operation, maintenance, repair and installation of heating, refrigeration, and air-conditioning equipment.
Your responsibilities include:
- Supervising and training designated staff as applicable
- Overhauling compressors, pumps and electric motors
- Replacing parts and controls
- Installing/ maintaining equipment
- Operating and performing repairs to refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment
- Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment for leaks and electrical/mechanical failures
- Adjusting controls, cleaning and lubricating parts, preparing brine mixtures
