Direct Digital Control Specialist 5 (Supervisor, Application Engineering)

This position will report to the Manager of Facility Automation Services (FAS) and is responsible for the guidance and direction of the FAS Application Engineering Group. Duties include supervising 7 employees, managing the departmental budget and Project Management. Duties will also include training and coaching employees as well as assisting with an FAS effort to develop and implement building automation system (BAS) standards. This position will be required to develop solutions to building automation projects in collaboration with peers and customers and estimate the cost of proposed project solutions. They must also maintain oversight and quality control during production of the installation drawings and the underlying software application development. Project Management duties include adherence to all project budgets and schedules in addition to supporting the installation of the projects by assigning tasks to Tech Service personnel and monitoring the progress of the projects. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience with ALC, JCI, Siemens or Delta Controls is preferred. Candidates must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. An excellent knowledge of building automation control languages is required. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job responsibilities. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background check.
