Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking an Assistant Director of Admissions at the Daytona Beach campus.The Assistant Director will execute a recruitment plan by using available resources to meet targeted enrollment goals to include; national travel promoting ERAU in a variety of forums, creating relationships with high school guidance, consultants and college counselors, maintaining continuous contact with prospective students during the admissions process, and staying current on industry and campus news that could impact the prospective student.Develop a travel itinerary to represent the University in a variety of forums and to meet and recruit prospective students.Select and recruit at local, regional and national college fairs.Select, arrange and visit high schools.Build relationships with the counseling staff of high schools and community colleges.Conduct Admissions presentations nationally to individuals and groups of prospective students in targeted cities. Evaluate the effectiveness of all college recruitment activities and events.Maintain contact with prospective students through phone, email and Marketing materials in order to provide career and/or pre-college counseling.Actively monitor and respond to targeted enrollment goals status’ throughout the recruitment cycle.Give presentations in the Admissions Visitor Center (AVC) and answer/meet prospective students’ questions/needs and help all prospective students who contact the university or walk in.Work with the student information system in order to review students’ application files/render admissions decisions and maintain statistical data of the prospect/applicant cohort. Participate in meetings when available, either in person or via teleconference.Gather information to remain current on University degree programs, national admissions trends (standards and policies), financial aid opportunities (including institutional, federal and private), and of industry trends, specifically within the aviation industry. Hire, train and supervise a student assistant, if applicable.
