The Business Manager MANAGES the Arts & Sciences Central Shared Service Center by overseeing the staff performing the human resources and budget/accounting activities for the units assigned to the Center. The incumbent will serve as the Centers contact for all budget and audit matters.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and three to five years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

·Five years of experience in higher education accounting and/or human resources.

·Knowledge of Federal, State and University accounting methods.

·Knowledge of Federal, State and University human resource regulations, statutes and policies.

·Knowledge of budget, inventory and procurement practices and procedures.

·Have excellent organizational skills as well as the ability to determine priorities and work unsupervised.

·Ability to maintain total confidentiality in regards to budget and salary information.

·Ability to read, comprehend and apply pertinent laws, rules and regulations.

·Ability to detect and reconcile discrepancies in financial records.

·Ability to train university support staff and student employees.

·Ability to advise employees on University and College policies and procedures.

·Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and representatives of other departments and agencies.

·Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a diverse group of people, both on and off campus.
