This position is located within the
Facilities Department at the University. The incumbent of this position will be responsible for:
- Inspecting roofing systems and identify existing and potential deficiencies.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to roofing systems using accepted industry standards.
- Modifying and altering roofing materials.
- Identifying sources of roof leaks and damages.
- Make temporary and permanent repairs on roof systems.
- Conduct water tests to verify integrity of completed repairs.
- Clean roof drains on roofs.
- Check and repair roof hatches.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment of the roofing trade.
- Install pavers on roofs that are wind damaged.
- Provide guidance and training in roofing work to other Facilities personnel.
