Budget Assistant – (190091)
The Budget Assistant provides specialized support primarily to the Worldwide Budget Director and Chief Business Officer, and secondarily to the Worldwide community in matters relating to budget preparation, budget control and budget analysis.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Enters budget transfers and adjustments into the Oracle financial system.
Assists in the preparation and maintenance of the annual budget. This includes reviewing the budget submissions for completeness/accuracy and entering the budget into the Oracle Financial System.
Works with department team members on budget related projects and adheres to deadlines.
With a close attention to detail, aids Worldwide staff in correcting any errors identified through reporting.
Connects with various departments across the institution to provide training on budget related matters such as how to run reports and budget procedures.
Assists Budget Department with implementing new procedures and ensures processes are effective and well communicated to Worldwide staff.
Associate’s degree or completion of a program 18+ months after high school. Area of study: business, math accounting or similar field
(1-3) years of work related experience.
Technical expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Excellent written and verbal communications, specifically business and accounting terminology.
Analytical skills with an ability to understand and create budget reports.
Ability to learn new applications.
