Under the supervision of the Vice President of University Relations, the Professional Services Specialist is responsible for performing basic professional functions using established policies, procedures and guidelines to assist with daily work operations and division initiatives. The Professional Services Specialist IV serves as a resource for the campus community by processing requests, sending updates and assisting with communications needs and projects; performs media relations functions including writing, proofing and sending out news releases; assists with hiring and scheduling division personnel; assists with Purchasing processes and compliance; and also does related work as required.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree and one year of professional experience in communications, with experience handling public inquiries and the distribution of marketing publications and materials is required. Candidate must have proven experience in writing and editing various communications materials and other documents that target a variety of external audiences, which may include community partners and other customers.
