JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Development Systems and Gift Processing, the Associate Director of Constituent Intelligence is responsible for initiating and overseeing the development and evolution of the constituent pool (alumni, donors, and friends). This person will directly collaborate with Prospect Management & Research, Major Giving, and Corporate Foundations and Relations teams and Alumni Relations department on the collection, interpretation, and recommendations of key constituent data to address current business needs and anticipate future needs. The Associate Director will continuously drive actionable intelligence that is scalable for the University’s efforts through use of data mining, data management and statistical analytics. She/he will also maintain relationships with key partners to ensure intentional and systematic collection of constituent intelligence across the university or beyond. She/he will also facilitate partners’ access to constituent information to succeed at their job.The Associate Director supervises 3 staff people and various student positions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Design, develop, and direct a comprehensive plan to maintain continuous identification of new prospects for fundraising pipelines using data mining, data management and other technical systems and tools. Identify and extract information stored in a way that enables the University to maximize fundraising, stewardship and strategic efforts. Apply modern data techniques to discover insights and patterns throughout extracted data to drive strategic action. Ensure scalability of data systems and modeling to address current business needs, adapt to new initiatives, and anticipate future needs. Foster relationships with University partners and beyond, to gain a better understanding of their business needs for project collaboration and established a cohesive end-to-end data-sharing model to enhance the understanding of our constituent base. Manage and empower Constituent Intelligence team to drive a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making. Establish team metrics and goals related to pipelines, data quality, and overall constituent information working toward a 360 constituent view. Practice and expand technology skills specific to the areas of data mining, data warehouse management, project management, emerging industry tools, and active University tools. Assists with other projects as assigned by the Director of Development Systems.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or the foreign equivalent in computer sciences, information systems, or a related technology field.Five years of experience with database management, quality assurance, database systems, and data analytics

Preferred Qualifications:A Master’s Degree in a technology related field
