Under the supervision of, the Manager, Art Galleries and Exhibits plans, develops, and manages the revolving exhibits, special events, and daily operations of the Frank M. Doyle Arts Pavilion. The manager oversees and coordinates programs that showcase the facility as well as extended exhibition spaces with the goals of promoting high levels of patronage and fostering campus engagement.

The Manage, Art Galleries and Exhibits is a first line management position that serves as the curator and primary collection development source for the Arts Pavilion. The Manager blends gallery and grounds-based shows with publicity, promotions, events, and fundraising to offer exhibitions and arts programs to a public with diverse interests. The Manager will work varying hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays for the purpose of advancing funding sources and maximizing the program's accessibility to the public.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following
* Plan, organize, and facilitate all visual art for the Frank M. Doyle Arts Pavilion and campus grounds. Working with the Art Advisory Committee, establish standards for quality and aesthetics, and preservation.     
* Develop plans and strategies for accumulating a permanent arts collection of notable significance for lending to other peer-level galleries and venues.     
* Serve as the primary contact and liaison with exhibiting artists, art educators, professionals, current and potential lenders, and curators and directors of other galleries.     
* Present the arts programs to college and District leadership with purpose of blending the services into current and long term facility and program planning processes.     
* Conduct speaking engagements to select interest groups for promoting ideas and program plans, enlisting support for the visual and performing arts, and fundraising.     
* Collaborate with the Foundation, Marketing, Public Relations and other departments to advance advertising, publicity, and invitations for openings, events, and fundraising. Plan and host a variety of events, presentations, and opening receptions.     
* Develop and implement annual fundraising plans and goals from diverse funding sources . This may include charitable donations, gifts in-kind, fee-based events, and auctions. Prepare proposals for competitive grants and other funding sources.     
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of volunteers, students, and staff that are involved in exhibitions and art events.     
* Prepare and monitor budgets for the Arts Pavilion and other art venues. Prepare periodic reports for internal and external use.     
* Attend arts, interagency, and collegiate meetings and conferences to remain current with trends and to establish networks for sharing of assets and events.     
* Participate in campus shared governance, promote/build campus engagement, and attend Visual and Performing Arts Division meetings.     
* Process contracts, waivers and reimbursements for artists and guest speakers.     
* Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.
