Risk Management & Safety at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for a Laboratory and Research Safety Specialist!
Supporting Laboratory and Research Safety Programs, this position’s essential functions include, but are not limited to assisting in development and implementation of safety and health programs as they relate to general laboratory safety, biological safety, chemical safety, supports AU research and academic programs that use radioactive materials and radiation producing equipment, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance. Other functions include providing technical assistance, training, support to faculty and staff, and providing professional expertise in the operation of Auburn University environmental, safety and health programs to help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, national consensus standards and the Auburn University Safety Policies.
