Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide announces an opening in the Department of Enrollment Management. The Transcript Specialist is responsible for processing and delivery of all transcript and verification requests received by the Worldwide Registrar’s Office. This role also recreates transcripts from microfiche/prior student system for former students as required.

Transcript Requests: Process all transcript requests received by Worldwide Registrar’s Office. Research archived records and create record on Student Information System to produce official transcript. Determines eligibility for release of transcript based on student’s account and FERPA restrictions. Communicates ineligibility issues with students and /or campuses. Process, and deliver transcripts daily (both electronic and paper transcripts), utilizing the Scrip-safe system. Must maintain a pending file for incomplete requests and follow up in a timely fashion, utilizing Scrip-safe reporting functionality.
Extensive telephone and email contact with students and campuses requiring assistance with transcripts and records requests. Personal and telephone contact with investigators seeking student educational records.
Record Requests and Enrollment Verifications: releases student information in accordance with University policy and federal restrictions (FERPA). Coordinates with the National Student Clearinghouse to have student records updated with credit and graduation data for release.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
At least 3 years of documented computer literacy (basic technology principles), as well as in applications (work processing, spreadsheets, database, electronic mail, and Internet).
Ability to adapt and learn changing technological enhancements.
Ability to re-establish priorities and be flexible. Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
Maintain cooperative working relationships with supervisor/manager and other staff members at all times.
Great customer service skills.
