SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Art Models serve as essential resources for students in life drawing, life painting, and life sculpture classes. This position requires the ability to pose both draped and undraped in a professional and respectful academic environment. The role supports students' artistic development by providing accurate and expressive human forms for study. Models must be comfortable working under the direction of instructors and capable of maintaining poses for extended periods. Models must be available for 3–6 hour sessions during daytime, evenings, and weekends.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
The following duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.
Model for life drawing, painting, and sculpture classes in a variety of poses (both draped and undraped).
Maintain poses for varying durations, typically ranging from a few minutes to up to an hour, with appropriate breaks.
Follow instructor direction to create poses that support educational objectives and artistic assignments.
Demonstrate consistent reliability and punctuality for scheduled sessions.
Communicate effectively with instructors and students as needed.
Adhere to professional conduct standards in a classroom/studio setting.
Perform related duties as required.
