Compliance Associate, State Authorizations – (180311)
Description

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a Compliance Associate, reporting to the Associate Director, State Authorizations (ADSA). This position supports all aspects of the state authorization processes and ensures compliance in all areas.

Individual will be support completion and submission of state licensure applications, as well as sourcing information for and drafting new program applications for all states.

He/she will work in close collaboration with Worldwide and university administrative departments. Specifically, these departments include: Institutional Research, Admissions, Financial Aid, Academic Affairs, Business and Finance, and Technology Services. Strong communication skills and teamwork with these departments will better provide accurate information for licensure and new program applications.

Individual will support the application process and maintain reporting requirements for workforce development initiatives.

Responsibilities Include:

State Authorizations Process Support
Complete and submit necessary application documents for state approvals in accordance with deadlines
Work with applicable university departments to coordinate reports and documentation to support state authorizations applications
Utilize various internal systems and external applications to collect necessary data for applications (Oracle, BI, Campus Solutions, Imaging, SQI, etc.)

Workforce Development Support
Support completion of workforce development grant applications and other application documents, as required
Coordinate and support approval process with Campus Director and Campus Operations Associate Executive Director
Provide preliminary review of application documents and coordinate final review with Associate Director, State Authorizations
Track and maintain compliance with all reporting requirements

New Program Application Success
Create, collect and assemble programmatic information utilizing internal academic resources
Conduct market research for program approval justification
Complete and submit necessary application documents for program applications
Resource Management
Maintain internal State Authorization Management System (SAMS) database to include- certificates of approval, authorization status, licensure fees, state point-of-contact, processes and requirements for authorization in all states and territories
Maintain records and develop/manage a database of discrepancies with relation to "approved" programs at all Worldwide locations
Maintain records of Veteran Affairs approvals and compliance survey documents within the Department of Campus Operations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Associate’s degree
(1-3) years of work related experience
Individual must be able to adhere to strict deadlines
Ability to work independently
Analytical skills with an in depth knowledge of information systems
Technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user
Excellent written and verbal skills
The ability to interpret and write legal documents
