To plan, organize, implement, coordinate, review, monitor, manage and evaluate the programs, services, operations, staff, students and facilities of a community college Veterans Services Center; prepare and administer annual program budgets; ensure compliance with District policies and applicable State of California and federal regulations related to Veterans Services; coordinate activities with other District colleges, divisions and departments; and train, schedule, supervise and evaluate assigned personnel.
To foster a culture of collaboration, mutual respect, innovation, and continuous improvement throughout the District; lead by example; actively participate in and support District-wide participatory governance components and activities and other collaborative processes; encourage professional excellence among the staff and promote an organizational culture of customer service, innovation, and quality services.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Receives immediate supervision and administrative direction from the Assistant Dean - Health, Wellness and Veterans Services or President’s designee.
Exercises functional and technical supervision over Veterans Services permanent staff, temporary employees and Veterans Administration (VA) work-study students.
