The University at Buffalo (UB) is now accepting applications for the
Plant Utilities Engineer 1 position within
Residential Maintenance Services. This position leads a dynamic and diverse team dedicated to the provision of safe and well-functioning residential and related support spaces.
As the Plant Utilities Engineer 1, your responsibilities include:
- Operate and repair a variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and mechanical equipment.
- Supervise a team of approximately 9 people; complete administrative time and attendance functions.
- Order parts and materials as needed.
- Perform appropriate preventative maintenance on equipment, boilers and systems.
- Make recommendations to the leadership team on the renovations and replacement of equipment.
- Respond to mechanical, electrical, or plumbing calls; troubleshoots and coordinate necessary repairs.
