Culture eukaryotic parasites, design experiments in consultation with PI, execute experiments, and report to PI on a regular basis. Experiments will include generating and validating transgenic cell lines, basic molecular biology techniques (e.g., cloning, PCR, qRT-PCR) and basic biochemistry techniques (e.g., expression and purification of recombinant proteins, western blot). Regular oral presentations of data and discussion of literature at weekly lab meetings is expected. Candidate will also perform general lab maintenance tasks such as ordering and making solutions.
Associate’s degree in Biochemistry or related field. Two years lab experience with basic molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.
BA or MA in Biochemistry or Genetics. Experience with programming in R.
