The Santa Clarita Community College District/College of the Canyons is seeking a full-time "Director, Human Resources Programs" in the Human Resources Department. The ideal candidate will share our college’s commitment to educating the more than 32,000 racially and socioeconomically diverse students we enroll each year.  Currently, our student body is approximately 45.4 percent Latinx/Hispanic, 32.2 percent White, 6.3 percent Asian, 5.5 percent African-American, 4.5 percent Pacific Islander, 2 percent multi-ethnic, and less than 1 percent Native American. Position Description:
Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, Recruitment and Employee Services, performs specialized and technical work in computerized data entry and retrieval necessary to carry out the systems functions of the Department; acts as liaison to meet the Department’s needs. Assures that the systems needs of Human Resources staff are met in a professional and timely manner; assists with training and staff development activities related to the use of information technology and applications software; performs evaluation and testing of applications as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience:
Three (3) full-time equivalent years of experience in Human Resources, including HR systems responsibilities which would demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties that are essential to this position.

Education:
Education equivalent to an Associate’s degree (60 semester units) is required. Two years direct experience in addition to that identified above may be substituted for each year (30 units) of college required.
