Academic Evaluator – (190166)

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide is currently searching for an Academic Evaluator to work on the New Admission Evaluation Team within the Office of the Registrar. This position evaluates prior learning experience to award appropriate graduate and undergraduate credit toward fulfillment of degree requirements. This role is expected to review and evaluate all course work completed at other U.S. and foreign postsecondary institutions, previous experience, military and civilian training, certificates and credit-by-examination scores to determine authenticity and to determine equivalency to ERAU courses and applicability to ERAU degree programs. Being able to meet productivity goals and maintaining designated turnaround times is key importance for this position.


Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (Education, Advising or other related field)
(0-1) years of work related experience
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of, and technical expertise with, Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, Degree Navigator and Internet end-user applications.
General knowledge of accepted academic practices at other institutions.
Ability to develop a detailed knowledge of ERAU academic policies, procedures, standards and curricula.
Ability to use judgement and critical thinking skills essential to research and complete an assessment of individuals’ prior learning and education, as in the use of military guides, foreign texts, and ACE publications.
Understand and operate varied University computer equipment and software after a brief orientation period. This requires basic knowledge of technology principles and concepts, as well as applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail, internet use and imaging equipment.
Ability to interact with students, faculty and staff in a helpful and professional manner.
Possess the ability and knowledge to conduct detailed analyses of academic records.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff, students and faculty.
Provide excellent customer service to co-workers, staff, students, faculty and customers.
Maintain cooperative working relationships with supervisor/manager and other staff members at all times.
